Victorian Literature Unit Study
Age Range: 10-14
Duration: 20 weeks
This is a study of three classic Victorian novels, with a wide variety of subjects covered. Although designed to be used by a small group, meeting once a week with independent work to be completed between meetings, this unit study can be used by a family or individual child.
- Using the film “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” as a fun starting point, we have chosen the most age-appropriate books (which involved substituting one with a book by the same author whose character is mentioned near the beginning of the film).
- Geography work covered by three of Evan Moor’s continent guides.
- A suggested DVD documentary for each continent.
